Hi Ritesofpassage, I was just perusing the internet and searching for people similar to me, who unfortunately bear the pandora's burden of stretch marks on the butt. And I want you to know that you aren't the only one dealing with this problem. Im an 18 year old guy, and I cannot believe I have stretch marks on my butt. My skin is perfect, my body is perfect, Im good looking, but I have stretch marks on my butt. I'm planning to spend $135.00 to buy a tube of StriVectin to test it out. I'm self conscious and cannot stand to see my butt anymore. I will try out the StriVectin, even though you tried it and It didnt show any visible results. And after a few years, I will meet with a dermatologist to try laser/or microdermabrasion to try and get rid of them. Take care.

Hey. I'm 16! I want to be an actor and model, and I have stretch marks. I have a burning passion to be ana ctor, so I'm going to become one anyway, but like every actor I am really self consious and insecure. I have stretchmarks on my butt, back, thigs, underarms and knees. I don't know how as many people. I read somewhere they're hereditary. I went to my doctor and she told me to use Retinaol A, and it does sort of work. It doesn't make them go away, just slightly fades them. I also drink Aloe vera and take vitamin e tablets. I have never taken steroids, and I never body built. I'm not fat, I've always been skinny. I have them, and I always get bummed out about them because I can't take my shirt off, and I always think it's going to be terrible. The truth is, so many people have stretchmarks. I hate the idea of having to live with mine. So do you too, probably. Creams only help the outer skin and slight slight slightly help the actual stretchmarks. I want to get laser surgery too. Stretch marks suck ass, but hey, I always think of the future adn that they will go away. Everything that can be done, can be undone one way or another.
You know, you ought to exfoliate the area while using a good cream like strivectin. Try using epidermix or a good microdermarasion cloth. You can google for both these items. Add a good cream to the mix and your skin will show 40-50% improvement. Since you are young, you have a better chance of healing your marks. Also get a good multivitamin.

well, i found the cure......no cream works...it is all about your hair follicles being clogged at the time your skin stretched and your hormones were out of balance. There is a way to open them up and fill in the stretchmark cavaties...I finally found this site...www.Stretchmarks.com....it is the only and last hope......get the kit....and watch them fill in with new skin from underneath....it is the Miracle Woman that Found the Cure to repair damaged skin...good luck......and not to mention..infrared light helping heal them too!!!!

after looking at your before and after pics, i did notice a little improvement. another thing I noticed was that your marks look flat and thin, there's a really simple solution to that. self tanner.. buy some st.tropez dark tanning lotion from sephora, i think it's like $22 dollars but its so worth it ! it looks like a real tan and covers your marks,i tried it on sum marks similar to yours on my chest and you'd never know they were there. PLEASE TRY IT + UPDATE US !
Well I wish i would have seen this post before buying the strevictin cream, its barely my first day using it but we'll see if i have better luck, even though i dought it.

I live in california but my mom lives in russia and i am currently visiting her. about 2 years ago i noticed that i was getting stretch marks on my butt cheeks and a few months later i started getting them on my lower back.
Well a month ago i went to a very good doctor in moscow and she said that those stretch marks are a cause of some more complicated things then just gaining or losing weight. it is true that u get them from explosive growth, but not many of us now the cause of it. well i was told that it is hormones. i am 6 foot and 16 years old now. anyway one source of hormones in food is chicken. in the u.s. they inject it with it to make it grow bigger and faster. also if u have any stomach diseases or something like that this also causees the stretch marks to appear. anyway, what i am trying to say is that if ure generally hearltjy u probably wont' get them.

I'm a 24/f and I've dealt with horrible stretch marks since I was at least 14 years old. I have them on my arms, the backs of my shoulders, thighs, butt, around my waste, breasts, backs of my calf - and I'm not overweight. Just, as I went through natural growing, I guess my body couldn't keep up. My close friends tell me that they aren't as bad as I think they are and they really aren't noticable. Even my ex-boyfriend would say they weren't a big deal, but I find them disgusting and they take a serious toll on my self-esteem. I refuse to wear tank tops during the day b/c I feel like my arms are so disgusting ( this is tough because it can get close to 100 degrees in the summer, but I will wear a hoodie). B/c I'm african american I worry about surgery. I easily scar and those lasers are no guarantee. I've tried EVERY POSSIBLE cream (including strivectin) and nothing has worked. The only thing that has made any sort of difference is regular exfoliation in the shower followed by cocoa butter and/or castor oil. They really smooth out the skin and, in some cases, have even evened out my skin tone. I hope they come up with better treatments, b/c its really horrible to know you didn't do anything but grow up normally and your stuck with life long scars as if you used to weigh 400 lbs. :-(

Okay I know exactly what you're dealing with, and it's INSANELY frustrating.. but after being so pissed off about this I've tried everything and actually found something that made it A LOT better.
What I've learned is that no cream can help because if you look closely they're sunken in and no cream can make you magically grow skin..
I read this and realized that in order to get rid of these horrible things you have to literally injure your skin and make it scab up and produce new skin
so I used a steel foot file that I hadn't opened yet and it hurt pretty bad at first but it's worked really well for me and the pain is worth it to me
I also used cocoa butter to help heal the skin after I did this
I am extremely skinny and I have a rather large butt, and it has stretchmarks near the bottom. My skin is naturally tan so the stretch marks are allot lighter. but my boyfriend loves them and thinks they are sexy. I used to be extremely ashamed of them and thought they were ugly but he says they look like cute tiger stripes!
Strivectin does not work! I tried it and it was such a waste of my hard earned money. I'm a 22 years old female, and I have stretch marks on my arms, my ass, my breasts, I can't even wear tank tops. I have had them since I was 12 years old. Believe it or not, this has affected my self-esteem on so many levels, but I'm working on it and have accepted my stretch marks partially.I don't care if it's on my ass, just wish I didn't have them on my top body parts like arms, and breasts! I really would like to wear tank tops and low cut shirts. I'm thinking about saving some money to try laser.

Try Trilastin. I have the same problem and since you say the Strivectin doesn't work I'm going to order a tube of Trilastin.

i have these marks going down my thighs and bottom and just like you i have always been thin and never grew much i'm only 5'1 and 7 stone, and i've never had a growth spurt.
I thought i was the only 1 in the world with them to look like that especially on my thighs as they was never red or blue on my thighs they were just white (was yours?) and felt likes ridges and lumps on my skin but on my bottom they was purple and i thought i done it myself by pulling tight denim shorts up my legs when i was younger, but my older sister wears skin tight jeans and she hasn't got a blemish on her body.
these marks have ruined my life they are all i ever think about as i've seen bigger girls and skinny girls without these marks and it's not fair, im really worried if a boy wont want to be with me over them and its ruined my self esteem and confidence, i feel useless and worthless with them (how do you feel?) but we've got to live with them and hope something fades them a bit more
Anyways i've heard that microdermabrasion is very good for them and have heard of a derabrasion cloth that reduces the appearance of them, also striae stretchmark cream looks really good for them and if you have a bath try a scrub then creaming your marks with cocca butter it helps mine fade but then they come back if i stop using them, hope this helps

Unfortunately, nothing seems to be working for me either. I started getting the exact stretch marks like yours since I was 11 years old and still have them. Now, I am 21 with a daughter and more on stretch marks on my stomach even though I am small again.
After living with these dreadful marks for about ten years I've just learned to deal. The key is to still feel sexy by what you wear. A really sexy one-piece bikini with boy shorts bottoms keeps me confident and fashionable in public pools.
Although I've been called tiger and zebra butt for fun by a guy I've been dating they don't seem to bother him at all even though I'm still self-conscious.
I haven't given up all hope yet and am still testing products but when something works I'll share the wealth!
I heard its a vitamin E deficiency in the skin. So I was told to buy vitamin E cream to use regularly but I totally forget to keep using it. Hm... Maybe its worth a try? It wont give you instant results but for people who are younger and have not went through puberty you can avoid stretch marks by buying lotion with vitamin E.

in so many south american countries it has HAS beem proven that is an elixir for the skin, IM NOT LYING i have tiger butt too, first i thougth that it was some kind of felanine problem, cause im bourned jaja and it looks wite you know... i actually don't have any prolem with it.
back to the story.
this human oil can be found in ANY HOSPITAL, but is kinnda expensive, i don't know how much.

hey i know my comment is not gonna help much, but still.. i'm a 25yr guy who found this website cause my gf is always complaining about her stretchmarks and it makes her so selfconscious, i typed sm on google and i've read the comments on this site.. It's just crazy how girls are so self conscious about those; seriously most guys don't care. Everybody knows that girls/women get those, at some point. Just like they get cellulite. It's just the way it is, and any guy who's been intimate with a girl knows their body doesn't look like the photoshopped pictures of chicks in FHM.. So anyway it depresses me to see my gf feeling so down about her body for such nonsense! I think every girl thinks they have the worst body, the worst marks or fat or moles or hair, etc... It's common insecurities, but it certainly shouldn't get you down or make you feel that guys will be grossed out. Sure, theres always a couple of idiots out there who'll make a silly/mean remark (no pun intended) but it's only cause they don't know better. I know you think you have it worse than most girls but really everybody has got their own insecurities, and probably wished they have stretchmarks instead of their hair or smelly feet or god knows what! you'd be surprised.
Anyway i'm done rumbling. I know insecurities dont disappear overnight, but just rest assured that you'll have no problem findign a nice guy who will not have any problem with those marks.
i have really bad marks on my stomach.. they are still red and are really thick. i've had them for at least a year now since i suddenly gained a lot of weight aren't they suppose to have turned colour by now? i'm going to try some of the remedies that have been left on here. i think maybe if i start to exercise and diet more, then maybe the stretch marks might reduce with the weight?

i'm 19 years old. i noticed my first signs of stretchmarks on my inner and outter thighs and butt when i was 14. since then they have changed from a reddish purple to white. not only that but i actually continue noticing new stretch marks appear as my weight fluctuates. i hate them. i have tried cocoa butter and am now using mederma. of course, nothing has worked yet. i think i'm too far gone. *sigh*

Just stumbled on your site while researching tigers! I'm so sorry to hear so many people upset by having stretch marks! I'm covered in them and have been since losing lots of weight in my early teens. I have to tell you I love them! I'm not ashamed of a single one of them and neither should you be. Hi there, i'm a 17 years old girl. I was researching on the internet for strecth marks, I have the same problem as you in the same area. I am very insecure and I feel disgusted by them, but after reading how much people and girls of my age have the same problem (I'm not fat, I've never been), it kinda made me feel better, I mean i thought it was very unusual for girls of my age to have stretch marks. Also, the guy who wrote a really nice post about how guys don't really feel grossed out by that... thanks, you made my day! Hahahaha. Maybe we should just calm down a bit. Drink a lot of water, exercise and moisturize the problematic part (I am using plain baby vaseline, no fancy expensive creams). And don't let stupid shallow assholes make you feel bad about yourself.
I wish I would have seen this blog before. Last summer, I tried out the Stri-vectin, and I loved how it made my thighs (where the stretch marks are) feel firmer... I guess. But like you, I used up a tube in a short amount of time, and no visible results. I went out and bought another tube, and still no results. It only made the area feel a bit smoother. I completely regret spending all of that money on this product.

OMG!!! I never thought that so many people also had this problem!!! I've had stretchmarks on my butt and thighs as long as I can remember, I thought it was from wearing tight undies that dug into my skin LOL but I guess it wasn't... I was always bony too, and I haven't been pregnant yet, which arose some concern with stretch marks... my bf calls them my "tiger stripes" hehe ;) he seems to find them interesting though so I don't mind, but I was always wondering what caused them.
look up bartonella stretch marks they are from a lyme related co-infrection, you may have to go to a lyme specialist to get the marks to go away
